Hylant Announces Leadership Changes

Toledo, Ohio July 1, 2016 – Hylant, one of the nation’s largest privately owned insurance brokerage firms, announces three leadership changes as part of its long-term strategic vision and commitment to its clients. Chris Godley has been named President – Columbus office, Craig Markos has been promoted to President – Property & Casualty, and Richard Hylant has been named President – Field Operations and Innovation.

As president of the Columbus office, Mr. Godley will be responsible for the overall success of the office by overseeing day-to-day operations and setting the strategic vision for growth. In his 17 years with Hylant, Chris has become one of the most successful client executives in the organization. His unwavering drive to continually improve his clients’ insurance and risk management programs has earned him a loyalty among Hylant customers that is rare in the industry.

Mr. Markos will use his more than two decades of experience and leadership to facilitate growth in property and casualty offerings in risk management, middle market, select commercial and personal lines throughout the organization. He had served as president of the Columbus office since 2000, where his responsibilities included sales management, agency development and overall agency management.

As president of Field Operations and Innovation, Mr. Hylant will be responsible for maximizing customer and employee satisfaction with a focus on effective use of technology to drive efficiencies, revenue and shareholder value within the Hylant core values. He will also continue to lead efforts at the corporate level to identify service and volunteer opportunities in the communities where Hylant is located and act as company representative in those communities and for trade industry groups. With 28 years of experience in the insurance industry, Mr. Hylant has been instrumental in the development of day-to-day operations.
