Hylant Group, Inc. was founded over 70 years ago by Edward P. Hylant, our grandfather. Since that time many things have changed in our world, in our industry, and at Hylant Group. At the same time many things remain fundamentally the same.

As in 1935, the Hylant Group remains a privately held business. We know this structure has been a big part of our success over the years. Our approach allows us to stay focused on the clients’ bottom line, react quickly to their needs and develop a better understanding for their businesses. We don’t report to Wall Street, so we can invest in the business when client requirements dictate the need for additional resources. We don’t have the structure that requires us to act dramatically to market swings or economic conditions. Our father, Robert E. Hylant, Sr., never let us forget that if we take care of the client, everything else will take care of itself.

We have always been very proud of our employee retention at the Hylant Group over the years. Our Chairman, Patrick R. Hylant, Sr., emphasizes the importance of investing in people, along with the resources to attract, retain, develop and train the best professionals in the industry. As one of the largest privately held brokers in the US, this has proven to be a solid ingredient for our success.
