There are many ways to underwrite risk and handle claims. I seek methods for my clients that fit best with their philosophy, corporate goals and their bottom line. Be it coverage design, underwriting negotiation, risk control or claims, my role is to be an advocate for my clients throughout all phases of the insurance and risk management process.

An example of this was demonstrated when we successfully supported a construction client’s request for replacement of critical components to their crane. The insurance carrier had insisted that the piece could be repaired at a cost far below that for which a new part would cost. This brought into question whether the crane could be recertified by the crane manufacturer after repair. Our research supported our belief that it could not. If the carrier had been allowed to simply replace the part without considering the end result, our client would have been left with a serious problem – an uncertified, unusable crane with little resale value. Understanding the needs of my client and leveraging my relationship with the insurance carrier resulted in a solution that benefited my client’s best interest.
