TOLEDO, Ohio - August 19, 2004 - Hylant Group, a fourth generation insurance agency headquartered in Toledo, Ohio, recently completed the move to its new headquarters at 811 Madison Avenue and is celebrating the renaissance of this downtown Toledo landmark.

The move, which came once Hylant outgrew its former headquarters downtown, has brought the former Libbey-Owens-Ford headquarters back to full capacity.

"I'm very excited Hylant Group chose to stay in downtown Toledo," said Mayor Jack Ford. "It is important to the growth of this city that leading businesses such as Hylant and Pilkington stay downtown. I want to personally thank the two companies for their efforts to keep Toledo a growing city."

Hylant dedicated the historic building on Thursday, August 19, at a ceremony at its headquarters, with Bill Buckley, President and Chief Operating Officer, as the master of ceremonies and remarks from Mayor Ford, and Patrick Hylant, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Hylant Group, and Richard Hylant, President of Hylant Group Toledo. As part of the ceremony, the building was officially renamed "The Hylant Building."

In addition to the ribbon-cutting, a brass quintet from the Toledo Symphony performed "Fan Fare 811 Madison," a piece composed by William D. McDevitt, that premiered at the ceremony.

"Being downtown is important to us," said Patrick Hylant, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Hylant Group. "We've been located in downtown Toledo for more than 60 years and wanted to stay here. We're proud to ensure the continuation of the 811 Madison Avenue building, which has played such a prominent role in Toledo since 1960."

Hylant Group has more than 200 employees currently occupying the building, and occupies floors 7 through 13 in the building. Hylant Group has more than 510 employees at offices in Toledo, Cincinnati, Cleveland and Dublin, Ohio; Ann Arbor and Troy Mich., and Bloomington, Carmel and Fort Wayne, Ind.

Hylant Group is a rapidly growing company. Hylant was recently ranked the 26th largest broker of U.S. business among insurance agencies nationwide by Business Insurance magazine. By 2005, Hylant expects to be in the top 25 companies.
