Hylant Group Announces the Addition of Michael Bercher and Tom Daney as Vice Presidents of Investments for Hylant Financial Services

TOLEDO, Ohio - March 29, 2006 - The Hylant Group continues its expansion by adding Michael Bercher and Tom Daney as Vice Presidents of Investments for Hylant Financial Services. Bercher and Daney each have 25 years of portfolio management experience, with direct recent portfolio management responsibility for over $1.3 billion in combined assets in addition to regional managerial responsibility for investment offices throughout the Midwest Region.

Mr. Bercher served with Key Bank, NA for 19 years, where most recently he was a Senior Vice President and Regional Portfolio Manager responsible for managing investment portfolios for clients of McDonald Financial Group and Victory Capital Management. Prior to Key Bank, he was with Fifth Third Bank, where he was a Trust Investment Officer. He managed investment portfolios for trust clients and performed analysis of equity securities including development of computer models. Mr. Bercher will offer customized management of individual equity and fixed income investment portfolios for personal, charitable, business and institutional clients through Hylant Financial Services. He received a BA in Finance and his MBA in Computer Systems from the The University of Toledo. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) along with being on the boards of Sunset Retirement Communities, Lourdes College, Midwest Trust Schools, and is a member of the CFA Society of Toledo and a past Adjunct Instructor in the Finance department at The University of Toledo. Mr. Bercher also enjoys skiing, fishing, boating and relaxing with his wife, Debbie, at their lake cottage in Hillsdale Michigan.

Tom Daney joins The Hylant Group as Vice President of Investments for Hylant Financial Services. Mr. Daney has 25 years of investment management experience in portfolio management positions of increasing responsibility with Key Bank, NA and its predecessor companies dating back to The Toledo Trust Company. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President, Regional Portfolio Manager, with investment management responsibility for the Midwest Region of KeyCorp’s, McDonald Financial Group where he was a member of the Investment Policy Committee. Previously, he served as Senior Vice President, Managing Director and Regional Manager of Key Asset Management, Northwestern Great Lakes Region. Mr. Daney will offer customized management of individual equity and fixed income investment portfolios for personal, charitable, business and institutional clients through Hylant Financial Services. He received his BBA and MBA in Finance from The University of Toledo. He is a past Chairman of the Board of The Ability Center of Greater Toledo. His hobbies include sailing, playing and coaching baseball, jogging and volunteer involvement.
