Hylant Group Announces the Addition of Elizabeth Thorne as Client Executive

CLEVELAND, Ohio - May 22, 2006 - The Hylant Group welcomes Elizabeth Thorne as a client executive for their Cleveland office. She has 20 years of sales and marketing experience with the last 18 years specializing in Group Insurance and Employee Benefits. Elizabeth has always worked with larger employers helping them lower their life and disability costs as well as providing long term healthcare strategies and solutions.

Prior to joining Hylant Group, Elizabeth spent the last 6 years with a small Northwest Ohio benefits brokerage agency. She opened the Cleveland satellite office in June of 2000 with no Northeast Ohio clients and single handedly grew her benefits book of business to over 15 clients and $400,000 of annualized revenues. On April 17th, 2006 the Hylant Group bought Elizabeth’s book of business and welcomed her to the organization where she and her clients now have access to the full range of Hylant Group insurance services.

Elizabeth started her insurance career in Dallas, Texas in 1988 as a Special Projects Manager for a mid size insurance company. After a year in Texas, she was recruited back to Cleveland as an Account Executive for a large national carrier where she sold ancillary insurance products and stop loss coverage for approximately 7 years. Her knowledge and experience working with large self-funded employers lead her to a regional TPA, where she worked as an Account Executive until June of 2000.

Elizabeth graduated from Kent State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing. Elizabeth serves on the Board of Directors for the Twinsburg Chamber of Commerce. She is a member of the National Health Underwriters, WIN (Women in Networking) and will be pursuing her REBC designation in the fall. Elizabeth lives in Aurora, Ohio with her husband Philip and their daughter Meghan.
