Hylant Group Adds Vice President to Lead Medical Malpractice Unit

CLEVELAND, Ohio - September 11, 2006 - Hylant Group, a full-service business insurance agency, has hired Bill Gorton to serve as vice president for the company’s emerging Medical Risk Practice. He will be based in Hylant’s Cleveland office.

Hylant’s recent partnership with ACE Medical Risk, in which Hylant will be the sole distributor of physician medical liability coverage in Ohio and Mich., presents an opportunity for expansion with hospitals and other healthcare entities. Hylant Chairman and CEO Patrick Hylant Sr. said Gorton’s vast experience and track record of success in medical malpractice and hospital risk management made him an ideal candidate for leading the expansion in Cleveland.

Gorton joins Hylant from Marsh USA Inc., where he served as senior vice president and implemented captive insurance companies for multi-location health systems and independent healthcare clients. His successes include developing physician programs that produced $3 million in overall client savings and aided growth from 112 to 250 participants.
