Hylant Group Names President to Michigan Office
Patrick McDaniel has been named President of the Troy, Michigan Office

TOLEDO, Ohio - June 6, 2008 - Hylant Group, one of the nation’s largest privately held commercial brokerage firms, names Patrick McDaniel to the position of President of the Troy, Michigan office.  He will be responsible for the daily management and overall performance of the office, as well as an integral part of Hylant’s growth strategy in southeast Michigan.

According to Mark Miller, Hylant Group’s Regional Vice President in Michigan, “We are pleased that Patrick has accepted this new role and we know we can count on his leadership and expertise to have an immediate impact on the Troy office. His experience and industry knowledge will prove to be extremely beneficial to our clients.”
    
Prior to being named President of the Troy office, McDaniel was Vice President within Hylant’s Executive Risk Practice, which  specializes in directors’ and officers’ liability, fiduciary, fidelity, kidnap and ransom, employment practices liability, professional liability and technology and cyber related risks.  Before joining Hylant, he served as a team leader for the Baltimore office of Marsh USA’s FINPRO division where he led the operation, managed the advisory team and was named to the executive leadership team. 

He also served as Vice President in Marsh’s Louisville, Ky., office where he was a member of the Midwest Region FINPRO Professional Development Committee.

McDaniel will continue to focus on the expansion of the large and middle market sectors in southeast Michigan by ensuring Hylant’s specialized practice groups are utilized to their greatest potential for the sole benefit of their clients.  His new responsibilities were previously held by Stephen Hylant, who has accepted a new position as National Real Estate and Property Management Practice Leader.  McDaniel assumed the day-to-day responsibilities of the office on June 1, 2008.
