Errors
and Omissions insurance consists
of two components: Business Injury Liability
and Products Physical Injury; neither
one is insured under a standard Commercial
General Liability policy.
Business
Injury Liability helps protect against
consequential economic loss an insured
is obligated to pay as a result of a
negligent act, error, or omission in
the design, installation, or manufacturing
of their product.
Products
Physical Injury liability helps protect
against damages an insured is legally
obligated to pay for the sudden and
accidental physical injury to an insured’s
product after it has been put to its
intended use; or damage/destruction
of the personal property of others on
the insured’s premises for the
purpose of performing such work on the
property.
