OPIOID OVERDOSES SURGE, OVERALL LIFE EXPECTANCY DIPS AND WHAT WE ARE DOING ABOUT IT

According to a report by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, opioid-related overdoses surged 28 percent from 2016, killing some 43,000 Americans mostly in the 25 to 54 age group.
