CLEVELAND July 17, 2018 ‒ Breakroom beers and ping-pong tables do not guarantee employee satisfaction. Hylant–Cleveland can say so with confidence as it was last month recognized by The Plain Dealer as one of Northeast Ohio’s Top Workplaces 2018. This marks the office’s sixth nomination as determined by the results of an employee survey.
Consulting and research firm Energage administered the survey at no cost to 247 public, private, nonprofit and governmental employers in the region. Over the course of three months, 45,673 employees answered 24 questions on seven factors including organizational alignment and effectiveness. Companies of similar size were grouped then ranked. Of 75 “small” employers (those with 149 or fewer employees), Hylant was named 54th.
“Becoming a Top Workplace isn’t something organizations can buy,” said Energage CEO Doug Claffey to The Plain Dealer. “It’s an achievement organizations have to work for.”
Hylant–Cleveland President Kim Riley chalks up the nod to a culture that welcomes feedback and innovation.
“Serving our clients is our No. 1 priority,” she said. “We know this takes happy employees who are committed to excellence.”
