INDIANAPOLIS June 6, 2019 – Hylant recently renewed its four-star AchieveWell rating: A designation from the Wellness Council of Indiana awarded after a comprehensive review of an organization’s health policies. The process allowed a discussion on how Hylant can continue supporting its employees’ physical and emotional well-being.
“We are in the beginning stages of change within our corporately-sponsored wellness program,” says Health Strategist Stephanie Thornberry. “This new strategy will require both thoughtful communication and a shift in how we approach wellness. While we do review the economic impact of our wellness strategy, the offering is more about embodying our core values and reflecting what Hylant stands for.”
The shift feels right, especially when researchers can’t yet attribute employees’ better health choices with financial return (like less absenteeism). Hylant instead relies on what it knows will positively affect change: the tenets of family, hard work, honesty, respect and empathy.
“Beyond diet and exercise programming, each Hylant office gives freely of its time, people and money to enhance the communities they serve,” Senior Health Strategist Heather Sittler says. “Wellness here also encompasses social connectivity.”
