Toledo, OH April 6, 2022 – David Blum, Hylant’s chief information officer, has been named a winner of the 2022 Ohio CIO of the Year Award, the company announced Wednesday.
“I am humbled to be recognized as the corporate 2022 CIO of the Year award winner for Ohio,” said Blum. “To be recognized alongside such an accomplished and talented group of technology leaders across the state who are positively impacting their organizations, industry and local communities is an honor.”
Blum, who has been at Hylant since 2018, has spent his career working in various technology, product development and marketing leadership roles in different industries. As Hylant CIO, he provides vision and leadership to drive business growth and transformation through technology innovation and digital product development. As part of those efforts, Blum has helped Hylant’s partnership with BrokerTech Ventures, the first broker-led insurtech investment fund and accelerator program focused on delivering innovation to the insurance broker industry.
The CIO of the Year ORBIE Awards is the premier technology executive recognition program in the United States. Since inception in 1998, over 500 CIO of the Year winners have received the prestigious ORBIE Award. The award honors chief information officers who have demonstrated excellence in technology leadership. Finalists and winners are selected by an independent peer review process, led by prior ORBIE recipients, based upon leadership and management effectiveness; business value created by technology innovation; And engagement in industry and community endeavors.
Blum received the Corporate ORBIE award for organizations up to $700 million in annual revenue.
